Enjoy this classic anime, Slayers!
05/07/08: We have $151 dollars in donations. Our target is $200.
Today's video is Slayers. This series was back in the day old school style. Its wit and humor was unmatched, and the action was superb. Slayers never took itself seriously often times making fun of everything, and the characters had real personalities. Thanks to the great story, this franchise had numerous movies, OVAs, and 3 seasons on television making it one of the most popular series in Japan. It also helped that Megumi Hayashibara (popular jpop star) sang the themes and played the voice of Lina Inverse. Enjoy this great classic.

So at the request of Aria, a tribute to him on the Aftercon Musician List. And he is the feature artist for this week as well.
Oh, savor the lobster on the banner. It will be gone by Monday.
That was fun!
04/30/08: Thanks for coming everyone!
Thanks for the donations as well. We are at $150 out of the $200 we are looking for so we are almost there! We also have a surprise for you next week as well. Can't tell you... it's a surprise.

04/19/08: Pool Party and The Slants' CD Release
Pool Party / Fundraiser Date: April 26th Time: 8pm Location: Jai's pool in Tempe, Arizona by Arizona Mills (ask Jai or Gackto for directions and other needs like rides)
Yep, with our new party planner, Shawn, we are having a pool party with steak, hamburgers, a pool and hot tubs. Please bring drinks and other food that is not steak or hamburgers. It's also our fundraiser for the upgrades so we will have a donation jar. And we are giving away a prize (because we always do at our parties). So this party is in Tempe, Arizona. Sorry to those not in AZ. But catch the Aftercon staff and crew in Texas, Indiana, California, Las Vegas, etc. this summer. ^_^ We will have lots of meetups and parties.
Second, check out the deal that The Slants (All Asian Electro / Rock / Punk band in Oregon) are offering. They are helping Aftercon out with donations. Basically, they are donating $10 of every CD they sell on Myspace to Aftercon when the code AC30 is used. Read The Slants' new CD thread for more information.
Troubles and Good News
04/17/08: Seems like our forum still has bugs like not being able to make new threads. Some people are able to, and some are not able to make new threads. We are on it asap.

04/10/08: Hi, everyone!
So we have about $75 in donations now. And we went ahead with the upgrades but we are still needing some more. $250 is our goal! We'll cover the rest.
Right now... 75/200. We'll keep this number updated. Don't forget, we are having a fundraiser/party in 2 weeks! Details later.
As for the website, there's gonna be quite a few bugs until Friday. We have stopped working on it today and gone home. So tomorrow! Everything should all right.

Happy New Years
12/31/07: Aftercon wishes everyone a happy new year. Let us have more fun and more happiness than ever. See you at cons across the nation.
By the way, it is Aftercon birthday a few days ago. It is one year and a few days old!
Merry Christmas!
12/24/07: Be merry and wish everyone on here a Merry Christmas.
Fun fact: In Japan, everyone eats Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner for Christmas. KFC is marketed as a gourmet family food. And also, the Japanese confused the turkey dinner for a chicken. It seems turkeys are really rare in Japan so they thought it was a chicken. ^_^
Hence, KFC Christmas dinner.
New Features!
11/23/07: Pictures and Music. And a lot more!
Some of you might have noticed that you can put links, videos, music players, pictures and other cool stuff on your profiles now.
Well, if you didn't know, this is the official announcement. We are still working on increasing the character limit and other things so you can do more. But for now, please enjoy. ^_^
We just got a Japanese correspondent, Lexi, and she will be writing all the cool stuff that is happening in Japan. Let's see, she likes to go party and clubbing a lot and shops like every week in Tokyo so she is going to have lots of interesting stories to tell. Aftercon staff has heard some of them already and they are very good. Please look foward to it!
Polysics, a Japanese band, known for its electric funk is back in the U.S. since last Spring. Their concerts are always wild, hot and very energetic. It's more wild and fanatic than a lot of Jrock concerts. Well, see them if you can. The Aftercon Crew will be seeing them in Phoenix/Tempe, Arizona. Other Aftercon members are seeing them in the Texas and California.
Well, enjoy the show! Check out the forum threads for time and location and which Aftercon members are going. ^_^

Third, just to let you know, Aftercon is focusing itself back on the convention scene so everything we do or create will be on people meeting and talking and the conventions.
Lastly and most IMPORTANTLY, Aftercon is creating a groups or forum feature so people can talk about stuff! Haven't decided yet. Please reply on the feedback link to the left and let us know which you prefer.
Groups with their own mini-forums like facebook/myspace or just a regular forum. Or both? ^_^
